Icelandair Hotels

Icelandair Hotels Group is the largest and the leading hotel company in Iceland. The company is renowned for its continued commitment to run extensive hotel operations in a profitable manner. Icelandair Hotels Group was established in 1998 and is owned solely by Icelandair Group. The company has remained in a leading position as a reliable quality hotel provider in Iceland, by presenting both international brand (Hilton Reykjavik Nordica), and well established domestic ones (Icelandair Hotels and Edda Hotels). Total number of rooms: 1.596.

The company runs Hilton Reykjavik Nordica and Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura (formerly known as Loftleidir) in Reykjavik. A new property in Reykjavik will be added to the chain of Icelandair Hotels in April 2012: Icelandair Hotels Reykjavik Marina. In addition, the company runs Icelandair Hotel Hérað in Egilsstaðir and Icelandair Hotel Akureyri as off from June 2011. Four other Icelandair Hotels, all located outside of Reykjavik are franchised. The group also operates 12 Edda hotels during the summer time, which are dispersed around the countryside of Iceland. In total, 21 hotels are offered by the Icelandair Hotels Group in 2012.

Most of the Edda Hotel's facilities serve as student housing at boarding school during winter. Icelandair Hotels Group rents all the facilities that it uses for its operation.
